Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17846 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This

حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَادُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ، أَخِي بَنِي فِهْرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي هَذَا الْبَحْرِ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ؟»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mustawrid, the brother of Banu Fihr, (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This world, compared to the Hereafter, is only like one of you putting his finger into this sea; then let him see what it brings back."
