Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17845 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَحْيَى، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمُسْتَوْرِدَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ؟» فَقَبَضَ لِي عَلَى مِفْصَلَيْنِ مِنَ السَّبَّابَةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This world, compared to the Hereafter, is only like one of you putting his finger into the sea; then let him see what it brings back from it." And he showed me by taking hold of two joints of the index finger.
