حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الشِّبَامِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا أَبِي عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَهُوَ مُغْضَبٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا لَنَا وَلِقُرَيْشٍ؟ إِذَا تَلَاقَوْا بَيْنَهُمْ تَلَاقَوْا بِوُجُوهٍ مُبَشِّرَةٍ، وَإِذَا لَقُونَا لَقُونَا بِغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: فَغَضِبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى احْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ قَالَ: «لَا يَدْخُلُ قَلْبَ رَجُلٍ الْإِيمَانُ حَتَّى يُحِبَّكُمْ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، عَمُّ الرَّجُلِ صِنْوُ أَبِيهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Muttalib bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) came in to him in a state of anger and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what treatment do we receive from Quraysh? When they meet one another, they meet with cheerful faces, and when they meet us, they treat us otherwise." The narrator said: Hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry until his face turned red, then he said: "Faith does not enter the heart of a man until he loves you for the sake of Allah and His Messenger. A man's uncle is like his father."
