Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1768 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked for three

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ، عَنْ جَبْرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ، قَالَ: «سَأَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ ثَلَاثًا فَأُعْطِيَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَمَنَعَهُ وَاحِدَةً، سَأَلَهُ أَنْ لَا يُهْلِكَ أُمَّتَهُ جُوعًا وَلَا يُظْهِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوًّا فَأُعْطِيَهَا، وَسَأَلَهُ أَنْ لَا يَجْعَلَ بَأْسَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ فَمُنِعَهَا»
Sayyiduna Jabr bin Atik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for three things in the mosque of Banu Mu'awiyah; two were granted and one was withheld. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that Allah not destroy his (peace and blessings be upon him) Ummah through hunger and not give an enemy dominance over them, and these two were granted. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked that Allah not make their fighting among themselves, and this was not granted.
