حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ، ثنا جَامِعُ بْنُ مَطَرٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، أَنَّ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: " حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ وَنَحْنُ نَشْرَبُ الْفَضِيخَ فَجَعَلْتُ أُهْرِيقُهَا وَأَقُولُ: هَذَا آخِرُ الْعَهْدِ بِالْخَمْرِ "
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Wine was made unlawful while we were drinking fadikh (a drink made from unripe dates), so I began pouring it out, saying: This is the last we will have to do with wine."
