حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: أَتَيْنَا مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، بَيْنَا أَنَا رِدْفٌ لَهُ عَلَى حِمَارٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ: «يَا مُعَاذُ» قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا حَقُّ اللهِ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ؟» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We came to Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Narrate to us the hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Yes. Once I was riding behind him on his donkey, and he said: "O Mu'adh!" I said: Here I am, O Messenger of Allah! He said: "Do you know what the right of Allah over His servants is?" Then the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
