Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17088 — a man asked the Prophet ﷺ: What

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا حَقُّ الْمَرْأَةِ عَلَى الزَّوْجِ؟، قَالَ: «يُطْعِمُهَا إِذَا طَعِمَ، وَيَكْسُوهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَى، وَلَا يَضْرِبُ الْوَجْهَ، وَلَا يُقَبِّحُ، وَلَا تَهْجُرْ إِلَّا فِي بَيْتِكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What is the right of the wife over the husband?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That he feeds her when he eats, clothes her when he clothes himself, does not strike the face, does not revile, and does not keep away from her except within his own house."
