حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، قَالَا: أنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ " مَا حَقُّ زَوْجَةِ أَحَدِنَا عَلَيْهِ؟، قَالَ: «يُطْعِمُهَا إِذَا طَعِمَ، وَيَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَى، وَلَا يَضْرِبُ الْوَجْهَ، وَلَا يَهْجُرُهَا إِلَّا فِي الْبَيْتِ»
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the right of the wife of one of us over him?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That he feeds her when he eats, clothes her when he clothes himself, does not strike the face, and does not keep away from her except within the house."
