Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17015 — O Messenger of Allah, we are a people

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people who ask one another for our wealth among ourselves?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of you may ask, in times of need and strife (fitnah), in order to make peace among his people; then when he reaches the limit, or comes close to it, let him refrain from asking."
