حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟، قَالَ: «أُمَّكَ» ، قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثُمَّ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟، قَالَ: «أَبَاكَ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟، قَالَ: «ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ»
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, to whom should I show the most kindness?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your mother" (he said this three times). I said: "O Messenger of Allah, then whom?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your father." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, then whom?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then the nearest relative, and then the next nearest."
