حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟، قَالَ: «أُمَّكَ» ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟، قَالَ: «ثُمَّ أُمَّكَ» ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟، قَالَ: «ثُمَّ أَبَاكَ، ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ»
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, to whom should I show the most kindness?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your mother." I said: "Then whom?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then your mother." I said: "Then whom?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then your father, then the nearest relative, and then the next nearest."
