حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ السُّلَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الطِّيَرَةِ، فَقَالَ: «ذَاكَ شَيْءٌ تَجِدُونَهُ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلَا يَضُرَّنَّكُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin al-Hakam al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about evil omens, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is something you feel within yourselves; let it not harm you."
