Uqbah from Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16975 — he said: Fasting while travelling is not
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ حُنَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ عُقْبَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ الصَّوْمُ فِي السَّفَرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Fasting while travelling is not part of the Sunnah."
