حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الشَّاذَكُونِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنِ الْيَسَعَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ رَاشِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «اللهُمَّ مَنْ لَعَنْتُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَاجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ قُرْبَةً لَهُ إِلَيْكَ»
Rashid relates: I heard Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) make this supplication: "O Allah, whomever I cursed in the days of ignorance (Jahiliyyah) and who then entered Islam, make that a means of nearness to You for him."
