Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16925 — Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah addressed the people

Abu Hariz, the freed slave of Mu'awiyah, narrates: Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed the people and mentioned in his sermon: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited seven things, and I am conveying that to you and forbidding you from them: among them are wailing (over the dead), poetry, images, the display of adornment (tabarruj), the skins of predatory animals, gold and silk."
