Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16780 — from his father, from his grandfather

Muhammad bin Amr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, from his grandfather, Alqamah bin Waqqas (may Allah have mercy on him), who said: The muezzin gave the adhan in the presence of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar," and Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." Then he said: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah," and he said: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah." Then he said: "I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah," and he said: "I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah." Then he said: "Come to prayer," and he said: "There is no power and no strength except with Allah." He said: "Come to success," and he said: "There is no power and no strength except with Allah." He said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar," and Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." Then he said: "There is no god but Allah," and he said: "There is no god but Allah." Then he said: This is how I heard your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say it.
