حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَانَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَا شَيْءَ غَيْرُهُ، وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ، وَكَتَبَ فِي الذِّكْرِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ كَائِنٌ، ثُمَّ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ» وَقَالَ قَائِلٌ: أَدْرِكْ نَاقَتَكَ، فَقُمْتُ وَإِذَا السَّرَابُ تَنْقَطِعُ دُونَهَا، فَلَيْتَهَا ذَهَبَتْ وَاسْتَوْعَبْتُ حَدِيثَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, existed and there was nothing besides Him, and His Throne was upon the water, and He wrote in the Dhikr (the Preserved Tablet) everything that was to be, then He created the heavens." And someone said: "Look after your she-camel." So I stood up, and the mirage was hiding it from view. I wish it had gone, and that I had taken in the complete hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
