حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، مَوْلَى عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ «قُتِلَ لَهُ أَخٌ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَقَتَلَ بِهِ سَبْعِينَ»
It is narrated concerning Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the time of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah) a brother of his was killed, and he killed seventy men in retaliation for him.
