Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a tent of his and said: O Messenger of Allah, may I come in? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come in." I said: All of me? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of you." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep in mind six things before the Hour. The first: the death of your Prophet." At that I began to weep. "Then the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis; a trial that will enter every tent and every house; wealth will spread among you so much that a man will be given a hundred dinars and he will be displeased; a plague among the people like the plague of sheep; and a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar (the Romans); then they will betray you and march against you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand soldiers."
