It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have several names: I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am al-Mahi (the Eraser), through whom disbelief is erased, I am al-Hashir (the Gatherer), at whose feet the people will be gathered, and I am al-'Aqib (the Last)." And al-'Aqib is the one after whom there is no one else, and Allah has also named him "Ra'uf Rahim" (most compassionate, most merciful).
