Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14953 — to Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir: You go back

Someone said to Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him): "You go back and forth between these two targets practising archery while you are a very old man; is it not burdensome for you?" Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Were it not for something I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would not take the trouble: 'Whoever learns archery and then abandons it is not one of us.'"
