Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14944 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمُؤْمِنُ أَخُو الْمُؤْمِنِ، لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَذَرَ، وَلَا يَخْطُبَ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ حَتَّى يَذَرَ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The believer is the brother of the believer. It is not permissible for a believer to buy over the sale of his brother until he leaves it, nor to propose marriage over his proposal until he leaves it."
