Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14243 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا جَاءَ رَمَضَانُ فَصُمْ ثَلَاثِينَ إلَّا أَنْ تَرَى الْهِلَالَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "When Ramadan comes, fast thirty (days), unless you see the new moon before that."
