Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14237 — I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، أَنَا آدَمُ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ؟ فَقَالَ: «إِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ، وَإِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَقَتَلَ فَإِنَّهُ وَقِيذٌ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about game killed by the mi'rad. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you strike with its edge, then eat; and if you strike with its broad side and kill, then it is waqidh, do not eat."
