Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14236 — I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ؟ فَقَالَ: «إِذَا خَزَقَ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا صَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the mi'rad. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it pierces, then eat; and if it strikes with its broad side, then do not eat."
