Amir al-Sha'bi from Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14223 — I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: I

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ: أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي وَآخُذُ مَعَ كَلْبِي كَلْبًا آخَرَ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا أَخَذَ؟ قَالَ: «لَا تَأْكُلْ فَإِنَّمَا قَدْ سَمَّيْتَ عَلَى كَلْبِكَ وَلَمْ تُسَمِّ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): I send my dog and I also take another dog along with my dog, and I do not know which of them caught it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not eat, for you only mentioned the name over your own dog; you did not mention the name over the other."
