حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْكِنْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُصَفِّرُ لِحْيَتَهُ، قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ لَا تَمَسُّ مِنَ الْأَرْكَانَ إِلَّا الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَّ، وَالْحَجَرَ الْأَسْوَدَ؟، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَمْسَحُ غَيْرَهُمَا»
قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ لَا تَلْبَسُ غَيْرَ النِّعَالِ السِّبْتِيَّةِ؟ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَا يَلْبَسُ غَيْرَهَا»
قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ لَا تُلَبِّي حَتَّى تَسْتَوِيَ بِكَ رَاحِلَتُكَ؟ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ»
قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ لَا تَلْبَسُ غَيْرَ النِّعَالِ السِّبْتِيَّةِ؟ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَا يَلْبَسُ غَيْرَهَا»
قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِي أَرَاكَ لَا تُلَبِّي حَتَّى تَسْتَوِيَ بِكَ رَاحِلَتُكَ؟ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ»
Amr bin Dinar narrates: I saw Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) dyeing his beard yellow. I said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, why is it that I see you do not touch any of the corners except the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone? He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): he did not touch any corner other than these two."
I said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, why is it that I see you wear nothing but Sibti sandals (of tanned leather)? He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): he wore nothing other than these."
I said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, why is it that I see you do not call out the Talbiyah until your mount stands up straight with you? He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do exactly that."
