Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13582 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ صَيْدٍ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that dogs be killed, except a dog for livestock or a hunting dog.
