Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12814 — he said: Revelation was sent down

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «أُنْزِلَ الْوَحْيُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ، وَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ، وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "Revelation was sent down upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) was forty years old. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah for thirteen years and in Madinah for ten years, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away at the age of sixty-three."
