Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12648 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us ahead
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَدَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أُغَيْلِمَةَ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَلَى حُمُرَاتٍ يَلْطَخُ أَفْخَاذَنَا، وَيَقُولُ: «أَبَنِيَّ لَا تَرْمُوا جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us ahead, the young boys of Banu Abd al-Muttalib, on female donkeys; he (peace and blessings be upon him) would pat our thighs and say: "My sons, do not stone Jamrat al-Aqabah until the sun has risen."
