Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12647 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us ahead
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: عَجَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَيْلٍ مِنْ جَمْعٍ إِلَى مِنًى، وَحَمَلَنَا عَلَى الْجَمَرَاتِ، وَجَعَلَ يَضْرِبُ أَفْخَاذَنَا، وَيَقُولُ: «أَبَنِيَّ لَا تَرْمُوا جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us ahead early from Muzdalifah to Mina while it was still night, and mounted us towards the Jamarat, and he would pat our thighs, saying: "My sons, do not stone Jamrat al-Aqabah until the sun has risen."
