Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12518 — It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, when
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْبَجَلِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهُ مَتَى كُتِبْتَ نَبِيًّا؟ قَالَ: «وَآدَمُ بَيْنَ الرُّوحِ وَالْجَسَدِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: It was asked: O Messenger of Allah, when were you written down as a Prophet? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Adam (peace be upon him) was (still) between the soul and the body."
