حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، وَمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، وَأَبُو الْجَارُودِ مَسْعُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الرَّمْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيُعَمِّرُ بِالْقَوْمِ الدِّيَارَ، وَيُثْمِرُ لهم الْأَمْوَالَ، وَمَا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ مُنْذُ خَلَقَهُمْ بُغْضًا لَهُمْ» قِيلَ: وَكَيْفَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «بِصِلَتِهِمْ أَرْحَامَهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, keeps the homes of a people flourishing and blesses their wealth with increase, though He has not looked at them (with the look of mercy) since He created them, out of dislike for them." It was asked: How is that, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because of their maintaining ties of kinship."
