Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12495 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ» هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَرَوَاهُ أَصْحَابُ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وَهُوَ الصَّحِيحُ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) while he was in the state of ihram.
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Mu'awiyah bin Hisham narrated it like this, whereas the other students of al-Thawri narrated it from al-Thawri, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir bin Zayd, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and that is the correct one.
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Mu'awiyah bin Hisham narrated it like this, whereas the other students of al-Thawri narrated it from al-Thawri, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir bin Zayd, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and that is the correct one.
