Bashir bin Aqrabah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him), his kunyah was Abu al-Yaman
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1217 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمَ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ عَقْرَبَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ قَامَ بِخُطْبَةٍ، لَا يَلْتَمِسُ بِهَا إِلَّا رِيَاءً، وَسُمْعَةٌ، وَقَفَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَوْقِفَ رِيَاءٍ، وَسُمْعَةٍ»
Sayyiduna Bashir bin Aqrabah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever stands up to deliver a speech, seeking by it nothing but to be seen and heard of, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will make him stand in a place of showing off and seeking fame."
