حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعُمَرِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «مَرَرْتُ أَنَا وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ عَلَى حِمَارٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَمَا نَهَانَا وَلَا رَدَّنَا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and I passed, riding a donkey, in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) neither stopped us nor sent us back.
