Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1207 — from his father that when he accepted

Khalifah bin Bishr, the son of Sayyiduna Bishr (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates from his father that when he accepted Islam, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned his wealth and his son to him. Later the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met him and saw that he and his son Talq were both tied together with a rope. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this, O Bishr?" He said: I swore that if Allah returned my wealth and my son to me, I would perform Hajj to the House of Allah tied with a rope. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of the rope and cut it, and said to the two of them: "Perform Hajj, for this is from Satan."
