Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 12027 — On the day of Ta'if, the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «أَعْتَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الطَّائِفِ مَنْ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ عَبِيدِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: On the day of Ta'if, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) freed every one of the slaves of the polytheists who came out to him (peace and blessings be upon him).
