Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11721 — A lizard (dabb) was given as a gift

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A lizard (dabb) was given as a gift to one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and she sent it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). All the people ate it except the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So Sayyiduna Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Is it forbidden, so that we should leave it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, but I find it distasteful."
