Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11720 — A cooked lizard (dabb) was given

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: A cooked lizard (dabb) was given as a gift to one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and she sent it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The people ate it, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not eat. So Sayyiduna Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Is it forbidden, so that we should leave it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, but I find it distasteful."
