حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَيْخٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الصريفينيُّ، ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wala' (the right of inheritance from a freed slave) belongs only to the one who sets free."
