حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَرَّاءُ، ثنا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا خُصَيْفٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْضِبَ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنْ دُهْنٍ وَزَعْفَرَانَ فَمَرَسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَمْرُسُهُ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to apply dye, he would take some oil and saffron and rub it between his hands, then rub it onto his beard.
