Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11417 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّرْجُمَانِيُّ، ثنا حَكِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ شَرِبَ حَسْوَةَ خَمْرٍ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللهُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا، وَمَنْ شَرِبَ كَأْسًا لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللهُ مِنْهُ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا، وَالْمُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرَ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ نَهْرِ الْخَبَالِ» ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا نَهَرُ الْخَبَالِ؟ قَالَ: «صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks even a single sip of wine, Allah will not accept from him any obligatory or voluntary worship for three days; whoever drinks a cupful, Allah will not accept anything from him for forty mornings; and as for the one addicted to wine, it is a right upon Allah that He give him to drink from the river of Khabal." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the river of Khabal?" He said: "The pus and blood of the people of Hell."
