حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي عُمْرَةِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ جَمَلَ أَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَلَيْهِ خَشَاشٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، وَهُوَ الزِّمَامُ، وَمَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا لِيَغِيظَ قُرَيْشًا»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), in the Umrah of al-Hudaybiyah, sent as a sacrificial animal the camel of Abu Jahl bin Hisham, which had a nose-ring (rein) of gold on it, and he did this only to enrage Quraysh."
