Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11101 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, in the year
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، صَاحِبُ الْمَغَازِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ: حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَهْدَى عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ جَمَلًا فِي هَدَايَاهُ لِأَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), in the year of al-Hudaybiyah, sent among his sacrificial animals a camel that had belonged to Abu Jahl, with a silver nose-ring on its head, in order to enrage the polytheists by it.
