Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10722 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Shall I not tell you

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهماُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ؟ إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ بِعِنَانِ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالَّذِي يَتْلُوهُ؟ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي غَنَمِهِ يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ اللهِ فِيهَا، وَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ النَّاسِ؟ رَجُلٌ يُسْأَلُ بِاللهِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the best of people? Among the best of people is a man who holds the rein of his horse in the path of Allah. Shall I not tell you about the one who comes after him? A man who lives in seclusion among his sheep and fulfils the right of Allah in them. And shall I not tell you about the worst of people? A man who is asked in the name of Allah and does not give."
