Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10565 — from his father that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas

Abd al-Hamid bin Ja'far narrated from his father that Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) would take a seed of the pomegranate and eat it. He was asked: O Ibn Abbas, why do you do this? He said: "It has reached me that there is no pomegranate on earth but that a seed from the seeds of Paradise is included in it, so perhaps it is this one."
