حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ الْعِجْلِيُّ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «الْمَسَاجِدُ بُيُوتُ اللهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، تُضِئُ لِأَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ كَمَا تُضِئُ نُجُومُ السَّمَاءِ لِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Mosques are the houses of Allah on earth. They shine for the inhabitants of the heaven just as the stars of the sky shine for the inhabitants of the earth."
