Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10561 — I accompanied Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas

Wahb bin Munabbih said: I accompanied Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), both before he lost his sight and after. He was asked about divine decree, and he said: "I found that the one who speaks most correctly about it is the one who knows least about it, and the one who speaks most weakly about it is the one who knows most about it. And I found that the one who reflects upon it is like one who gazes into the rays of the sun: the more he gazes into it, the more his sight increases in bewilderment."
