حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُبَيْطٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، ثنا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ قَالَ: مَرَّ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ بِقَاصٍّ، فَرَكَلَهُ بِرِجْلِهِ فَقَالَ: تَدْرِي النَّاسِخَ مِنَ الْمَنْسُوخِ؟ قَالَ: وَمَا النَّاسِخُ مِنَ الْمَنْسُوخِ؟ قَالَ: مَا تَدْرِي النَّاسِخَ مِنَ الْمَنْسُوخِ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: هَلَكْتَ وَأَهْلَكْتَ
Al-Dahhak bin Muzahim said: Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by a storyteller and kicked him with his foot, and said: Do you know the abrogating from the abrogated? He asked: What is the abrogating and the abrogated? He said: Do you not know the abrogating from the abrogated? He said: No. He said: You have perished, and you have caused others to perish.
